Swap and help – the next Neighbourhood Swap events are on 26 September and 28 November!
Spring cleaning is the perfect opportunity to part with items we no longer use but which are still in good condition. Instead of throwing away clothes that are too small and gathering dust in your wardrobes, books you’ve already read or children’s toys, you can give them a new lease of life. Simply bring them to the Auchan Krasne shopping centre and choose something for yourself in return.
The next Neighbourhood Swap events will take place on 26 September and 28 November. These are further opportunities to swap unwanted items, reduce waste and, at the same time, help those in need.
The idea behind the Neighbourhood Swap
The Neighbourhood Swap is an initiative that combines the idea of reducing waste with building relationships in an engaging way. As part of the campaign, we encourage responsible resource management, passing on items in good condition and giving them a new lease of life, whilst also creating a relaxed space for neighbours to meet.
However, the campaign goes beyond simply swapping items – participants can also support the animals at the local animal shelter.
How can you take part in the Neighbourhood Swap?
The rules are very simple! Bring along items you no longer use or need, and in return, choose something for yourself. The swap operates on a 1:1 basis, which means you can take home as many items as you bring.
Please remember to bring only items that are clean and in good condition – so that they can be of use to others.
What can you swap?
- clothes,
- books,
- toys,
- small home décor items,
- gadgets and accessories,
- potted plants,
- and much more.
Don’t have anything to swap but want to take part in the event?
If you’d like to take part in the event but don’t have anything to swap – don’t worry! Support the dogs at the Kundelek Shelter by buying a product from the LIST for them, then hand it in at the event stall and join the Neighbourhood Swap.
Nothing will go to waste
Any items left over after the event that haven’t found new owners will be donated to the Krasne Community Centre and Library, so that instead of gathering dust in storage, they can be used during workshops or local cultural activities.

There are still two more opportunities to take part in the Neighbourhood Swap at the Auchan Krasne Shopping Centre. Join us on 26 September and 28 November.
