Look after your health – have a free mammogram

On 11 September, we invite you to the mobile mammography unit in front of the Auchan Krasne Shopping Centre.

Prevention matters. Regular mammograms can detect changes that cannot be spotted during a breast self-exam. Early diagnosis of abnormalities increases the chances of starting effective treatment quickly.

That is why, on 11 September, we invite you to have a free mammogram outside the Auchan Krasne Shopping Centre.

The mobile mammography unit will be available from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. Screening times may be subject to change depending on the number of patients registered.

To book a screening, please register in advance by telephone on 22 33 81 960 or 58 666 24 44. You can also register via the online form on the LUX MED website or through the Online Patient Account (IKP) and the mojeIKP app.

During registration, your eligibility for the screening is checked in the National Health Fund’s (NFZ) Preventive Care Monitoring IT System, so it is advisable to have your identity card to hand.

Under the Breast Cancer Screening Programme funded by the National Health Fund (NFZ), women aged 45–74 are eligible for a free mammogram:

• every 24 months – if they have not previously been diagnosed with a malignant tumour in the breast, 
• every 12 months – if they have completed treatment for breast cancer and the 5-year post-treatment monitoring period, 
• every 12 months – if, five years after surgical treatment for breast cancer, they are still undergoing adjuvant hormone therapy (HT). 

Women covered by the ‘Care for families at high, hereditary risk of breast or ovarian cancer’ programme or the ‘Comprehensive oncological care for patients with breast cancer’ programme are excluded from this scheme.

It is advisable to bring along images or CDs from previous mammograms to your appointment if these were not carried out at a LUX MED clinic.
